Don and his wife Laura have been married for 30 years… Their journey together began in high school, deep in the tiny state of New Jersey, and continues to this day. Don often suggests, “If we had known marriage was so much fun we wouldn’t have waited so long to get married!” That would be interesting considering they were married at 19 and 18 respectively. Don attended Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa Idaho where he earned a BA in Philosophy and Religion. Followed by seminary in Kansas City (Master of Divinity), and concluding with a Dr. of Ministry in 2006. He continues to teach for Nazarene Bible College while engaging in ministry at Newport Nazarene. He has pastored in a variety of settings from the heart of downtown Phoenix, to the back roads of the rural farm community of Missouri.

Their children, Dustin 27, Derek 23 and the late surprise Michael Wayne (4), have filled their lives with joy, trauma and drama (sound like any other parents out there?). They absolutely love to travel, network with people trekking after Jesus, and stay busy whenever possible… Both may be hyperactive, which can wear out those around them… And both love the internet and its vast array of communication possibilities…

In his capacity as Senior Pastor at NewportNaz, Don preaches in most of the morning services, and coordinates an exceptionally talented staff, while shepherding the folks of Newport Naz. Laura, having spent much of her career as Vice-President Quayle’s personal assistant, continues to raise her latest arrival, while working part-time. She sings with a Christian women’s vocal group called Divine Third and loves music and women’s ministries in all their expressions.
